Bubble Cap Tray

Bubble cap tray is a kind of tower internals with many advantages such as low pressure drop, big surface area, high mechanical strength and so on. It is widely used to increase gas - liquid contact area to improve mass transfer efficiency.

Each bubble cap tray has a riser or chimney fitted over each hole, and a cap that covers the riser. The cap is mounted so that there is a space between the riser and the cap to allow the passage of vapor. Vapour rises through the chimney and is directed downward by the cap, finally discharging through slots in the cap, and then bubbling through the liquid on the tray. Our bubble cap trays are suitable for applications with very large loading ranges, very low liquid load, very low gas load, continuous liquid holdup and low leakage rates, and they have numerous applications in refinery and gas plants.

Features of Bubble Cap Tray

Vapor ascends through the riser, is guided downward by the cap, and then bubbles out through slots or serrations in the cap into the liquid on the tray.

Creates a reliable liquid seal, which helps minimize vapor leakage even at low liquid or vapor flow rates, ensuring stable operation.
