Trough Liquid Distributors

Trough distributors use a parting box to divert liquids into different laterals. A tower between 3 to 8 feet tall will typically require one parting box - multiple boxes are stackable for use in larger vessels. This option is suitable for high liquid rate and fouling applications.
Trough type distributor construction can be used for very high liquid load & higher column diameter from 900 mm & above diameters. Both bottom holes & tube construction is possible in trough type distributor. In trough distributor, the liquid in bottom channels distributes the liquid evenly on the surface of packing and can be used for both structured & random packing. Liquid loads may vary from 2m3/m2hr to 50 m3/m2hr. The simplicity of this design helps to get good seating, better leveling& easiness of installation.

Application

It is widely used in packed extraction tower, absorption tower and cooling tower, and it is an ideal choice for separation, mixture or handling of vapor-liquid load, suspensions, emulsions, fouling or contaminated liquids. It is also used in frequently pressure and pressure vacuum operations of distillation, absorption, extraction and other processes.
